Judith Bridges

Judith Ann Bridges, 84, of Cleveland, Tennessee, peacefully departed this life on Friday, March 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 14, 1940 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Milton Lloyd Timmerman and Lusetta Ellis Timmerman.

Judith was a dedicated member of the Church of God for many years. Following her graduation from high school in Williamsville, Missouri, she pursued a career as a key punch operator in St. Louis, Missouri, where she enjoyed working for many years. She found great joy in actively participating in church activities, reaching out to others, and offering assistance to the elderly.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her late husband, Michael Bridges, Sr., as well as her first husband, Larry Courtney. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James, Lorin, Robert, Marvin, and Ellis Timmerman, and her sisters, Irene Timmerman, Bernice Timmerman, Hettie Lee Smith, and Loretta Bilbrey.

She is survived by her beloved stepchildren, Stephanie Smith, Carmen (Heath) Faw, Michael Bridges, Jr., Kathryn (Scott) Shubert. Additionally, she leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Molly Smith, Brady Shubert, Jaxson Shubert, and Samantha Shubert. Judith is also survived by her two sisters Bernita Sanderson and Jo Tinker, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who all held a special place in her heart.

A private graveside service will be arranged to honor Judith's life. In lieu of flowers, Judith expressed her wish for donations in her memory to be directed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
