Juan Antonio Moreno III, 51, a resident of Sweetwater, TN left this life on Sunday morning, March 8, 2020 for his Heavenly home. Juan was born on May 30, 1968 in St. Albans, VT. He was a minister for many years. Juan loved music and was a gifted music writer and guitarist. He also was a soccer coach for several years.
He is preceded in death by his mother Carol Lewis Thornton, one sister Tammy Barratt, his mother in law Joann Salazar and his son in law Jerel Dotson.
Juan leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 34 years Susan Gann Moreno, one daughter Susana Dotson, two grandson, Malachi & Christian Dotson, father Juan A. Moreno II, father in law Juan Salazar, three sisters Brenda Barratt, Judy Barratt and Heather Currier, five brothers Wayne Barratt, Arnold Barratt, Jimmy Moreno, Billy Page and Richard Page, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Jeff Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
