Joyce L. Colbaugh Williams Whitman

Joyce was born as the youngest child in Charleston, Tennessee to her parents Sammy Lee Colbaugh and Alice May Martin Colbaugh on November 21, 1942. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Marvin Lee Colbaugh and Mary Evelyn Colbaugh, the father of her children Conard Robert Williams, and her stepchildren Dawn, Becky, and Scott Whitman.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Darwin L. Whitman Sr.; her children, Rita Williams Murphy, Connie (Joe) Williams Anderson, and Robin Williams; her stepchildren, Darwin (April) Whitman Jr., Reva (Steve) Whitman Parker, and Gene (Jennifer) Whitman; her grandchildren, Megan (Jacob) Everts and Benjamin Wade Anderson; and her great-grandson, Robert Jackson Everts. She is also survived by a beloved family of extended brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Joyce resided with her husband and daughter Robin in Dayton, Tennessee. She was a dedicated and active member of the Graysville Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Her interests and hobbies included putting God first always, teaching cooking classes, gardening, walking, and spending quality time with her family, many friends, and grand dog Buttons.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Graysville Seventh Day Adventist Church on March 8, 2025. Church services will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm followed by a fellowship luncheon. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Celebration of Life service will be from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with graveside services to follow.
