Obituary

Joyce Lane Burnette Farmer, age 81 of Cleveland, TN went to be with the Lord on October 10th, 2014. She was born and raised in Blue Ridge Georgia. She moved to Cleveland over 50 years ago to raise her family. She worked thirty plus years and was retired from President Baking Company.

She is preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years Herbert H. Farmer, parents Jewel Dexter Burnette and Mary Butel Burnette, four sisters Helen Miller, Regina Woody, Alynda Loftis and Glenda Collis and two brothers Buddy Burnette and Bernard Burnette.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory four children and their spouses Steve Farmer (Deborah) of Cleveland, TN, Martha Quinn (Dan) of Cleveland, TN, Christy Sparks (Larry) of Canton, GA and David Farmer (Kathy) of Benton, TN, eight grandchildren Amanda Elliott, Beth Walker, Tessa Quinn, Wesley Sparks, Brandi Williams, Anthony Farmer, Kerri Helm and Josh McGill, twelve great grandchildren, one sister Bernice Shields, many nieces and nephews and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A graveside service is planned for Sunday, October 12th, 2014 at 4:30 PM in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
