Joyce Fay Layman

Joyce Fay Layman, 72, a resident of Niota, TN went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Joyce was currently employed by Sweetwater Hospital Association and known by many as “Operator Joyce”.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Ruth Dennis and two sons Jeff and Mike Layman.
Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years Bruce Layman Jr., daughter in law and husband Shelly & Randy Torbett, son and daughter in law Tim & Ginger Layman, daughter and son in law Stephanie & Greg Coleman, grandchildren and spouses: Amanda & Gary Bogus, Kimberly & Justin Anderson, Melanie Layman & Nolan Triplett, Cody & Michelle Layman, Chase Layman & Destiny McCammon, Allison Ridenour, Hannah Ridenour, Aaron Coleman, Promise Coleman, great grandchildren Walker Bogus, Hayden Layman & Nathan Layman, numerous other extended family members, coworkers and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening March 9, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church located at 1803 County Road 250 in Niota, TN. A Celebration of her life service will follow the visitation time with the Reverend Martin Bowlin, the Reverend Bill Dawson and the Reverend Clayton Dunsmore officiating.
The interment and graveside service will take place on Sunday afternoon, March 10, 2019 at 1:30 PM in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Derek McCosh, Cody Layman, Chase Layman, Gary Bogus, Justin Anderson, Nolan Triplett, J. L. Barnett and Kenny Wilkins serving as pallbearers.
