Joseph (Harry) Price, aged 83, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024. Born on April 16, 1941, Harry lived a full and vibrant life marked by service, love, and dedication.

Born in Wayne County, North Carolina, Harry joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a teenager and served in many leadership positions throughout his life.

Harry served honorably in the United States Navy, a testament to his commitment and patriotism. He carried this sense of duty and discipline throughout his life, becoming a pillar of strength for his family and community.

Harry retired from Combustion Engineering in 2003 after 37 years of service.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Price, and his daughters Wendy Carney (Greg), Cindy Davis (Jeff), and Morgan Stiner (Justin); stepsons Rus Ward (Jeannie) and Rick Ward; sister Charlotte Goodwin (Tim); brother Rudy Price (Gina); and half-sister Ellen Matthis (Wayne). He was a proud grandfather of ten and a great-grandfather of seven, whose lives he enriched with wisdom and love.

Harry was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Sybil Price, and his first wife, Helen Price. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Harry's legacy is one of unwavering dedication to his family and country. His gentle spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service to honor Harry's memory will be held on Friday, May 31, at the Stake Center, 3067 Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, Ooltewah, TN. Receiving of friends will begin at 5 PM and continue until 7 PM, immediately followed by the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Harry's name.
