Joseph Blain King, Jr., affectionately known as JB or Joe to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024, in his hometown of Cleveland, Tennessee. Joe was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Born on March 29, 1943, to Blain and Willie Mae King, both of whom preceded him in death, as well as his sister Shirley Stampe. He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland.
Joe will be fondly remembered as a dedicated family man, having shared 54 years of marriage with the love of his life, Sharon King. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth King, his daughter, Angie Elrod, son-in-law, Franklin Elrod, and his adored grandchildren, Jared and Calli Elrod.
Throughout his life, Joe was known for his strong work ethic. His love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him, finding joy in hunting and the beauty of nature. Firm in his faith, Joe lived his life guided by the principles of his Baptist beliefs.
As per the family's wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
