Jon Eaves

March 8, 1967 — May 3, 2024

Jon Davis Eaves, age 57, a resident of Calhoun, TN, passed away on Friday, May 3rd in Calhoun, TN. Jon was a graduate of Charleston High School.

Jon had a heart for service, and he served both the Calhoun and Charleston communities in various capacities throughout his life. Jon served as Chief of Police for the City of Charleston, Commissioner for the City of Calhoun, and he also served at the McMinn County Sheriff's Office.

Jon was very passionate and adept with technology. He owned multiple businesses including Eaves Electronics and Diversified Technologies. Jon also spent significant time working for and collaborating with Wheeler Electronics.

Jon was a loving son to Melissa Ruth Davis Eaves, and William K. Eaves, Sr, a loving brother to William K. Eaves, Jr. and Freddy Ray Eaves, Sr, and a loving uncle to Dr. Fred Eaves, Jr. throughout his life. Jon will be remembered and missed by those who knew him and loved him.

John 16:33 states "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, William Kenneth Eaves, Sr., and Melissa Ruth Davis Eaves; uncle: Felmet Leonard (Junior) Eaves, his brother, William Kenneth (Kenny) Eaves, Jr., and Freddy Ray Eaves, Sr.

He is survived by several close nieces and nephews: Dr. Fred (Kristy) Eaves, Jr., of Thompsons Station, TN, Natasha Wheeler of Oak Island, NC; Eric (Wendi) Morris of Orlando, FL, Kenneth (Brandy) Calton of Calhoun, TN; Alisha (David) Osborne of Charleston, TN; sister: Lois Mae Eaves of Cleveland, TN; great niece: Layla Wheeler of Oak Island, NC, Savanna (Ben) Hickman, Dayton, TN, Grant (Katelynn) Allen of Chattanooga, TN; great, great niece and nephew: Reagan Hickman of Dayton, TN, and Tate Hickman of Dayton, TN; cousins: Mac Allen Jones, Gary Eaves and many other loving family members throughout the Eaves and Davis families.

In accordance with Jon's wishes there will be no service. The Eaves family would like to give a special thank you to Joe Johnson and his family, as well as Bill Wheeler and his family for being tremendous friends to Jon over the years.
