Johnny Leslie Shouldiers

Johnny Leslie “Broom” Shouldiers, Sr, 60, of Fairview, Georgia passed away on August 3, 2022. He was born on December 14, 1961, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Johnny had been a mechanic since his teens and formerly worked for Garrett’s Goodyear in East Ridge and Stacy’s in East Brainerd. He loved doing yardwork, being outdoors, fishing, was a lifelong fan of Bill Elliott (NASCAR) and John Force (NHRA), and spending time with family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorris Brill and Reba Olena (Bowman) Shouldiers, his grandparents Hubert and Rosie Bowman and William and Lorene Shouldiers.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 32 years, Teresa Trimmier Shouldiers; children, Kristi Hill McBurnett (Gilbert Smith) of Rossville GA, Jason (Joanne) Hill of Tunnel Hill, GA, Edward Shouldiers of Columbus, GA, and John (Cherish) Shouldiers, Jr. of Rossville, GA. His legacy includes 10 grandchildren: Savannah Porter of Rossville, GA; Will McBurnett (Shay) of Trenton, GA; Christian and Riley Hill of Ringgold, GA; Kaley, Katelyn and Laylani Hill of Tunnel Hill, GA, Spencer Witt of Tunnel Hill, GA, Marik and MylaBelle Shouldiers of Rossville GA; four great-grandchildren, Kiaren, Cooper, Sawyer and Willow Porter. He was loved and will be missed greatly by his brother, Jim (Shelly) Shouldiers of Rossville, GA,; two sisters, Lori Heath of Portland, TN, and Reba (Gene) Wagner of Fort Payne, AL. In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

Johnny’s family and friends will gather at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Lookout Mountain, on September 10th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. for a graveside service with Rickey Pell officiating and with memorial dinner to follow at the Mount Pleasant Community Center, Lookout Mountain.
