Johnnie Kate Graves - Hall, 89, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed away October, 20,2024. Daughter of John and Martha Graves, born October 23, 1934 in Cleveland, TN. Johnnie Kate Graves-Hall grew up in Bradley County as one of 11 children. She attended Hopewell Elementary and Bradley County High School and earned a degree in business management at Cleveland State Community College. She worked at both American Uniform, as one of the first women in management, and later at Athens Manufacturing. Johnnie Kate married Ralph Hall in 1952. The family grew with 4 children, Danny Hall, Gary Hall, Diane Hall-Centers, and Lynn Marvin Hall. Johnnie Kate was very active in her community to include vice president of the Meigs County FCE Club; teaching the senior ladies Sunday School class, and decorating the Fellowship Hall for special occasions. Also, she enjoyed sewing and helping with the youth choir robes, which she very much enjoyed seeing them sing in. In addition, she became involved with the 4-H camp and was presented a plaque for outstanding contributions to their group. Johnnie Kate is survived by her sister, Joyce Bullard; children, Gary Hall, Diane Hall- Centers, Lynn Marvin Hall; her grandchildren, Christi Smith, Paula R Hall, April Hall, Travis Hall, Allison Hall, Rachel Hall, Mitchel Hall; Great grandchildren, Skyler, Makaylon, Silas, Aubrey, and Malaki; Sister-in-law, Karen Pirkle and brother-in-law, Nick Hall. Several nieces and nephews. So many loving family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph and son, Danny as well as several brothers and sisters. Services will be Friday, October 25, 2024, at Companion Funeral Home Chapel on the Ridge. Visitation Noon-2:00 with funeral service to follow in the Shelli Cody Sanctuary. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The staff of Companion Funeral Home and the Cody family are honored to serve the Hall family.
