John Wayne Bell, 79, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019. He was born in Goodlettsville, TN and had been a resident of Cleveland for the past 13 years coming from Virginia. He enjoyed playing computer games and feeding cats. He proudly served in the United States Navy in the mid 1960’s. John was Methodist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Jeneava Bell; his first wife, Gladys Bell; a brother, Cecil Bell, Jr.; and step children, Raymond Soboleski and Cindy Pannuty.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Karen Bell; a sister, Betty Norton; step children, Debbie Barefoot (Ronald) and Timothy Soboleski; 15 grandchildren; 7 gtreat grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland Friday, June 28, 2019 from 10:30am – 12:30pm. A celebration of his life will be at 12:30 pm with Brother Tom Carver officiating. Burial will follow with military honors rendered by the United States Navy at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
