John Walter Sadler

John Walter Sadler, 70, a resident of Sweetwater, TN passed away on Wednesday morning, January 17, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 22, 1947 in Pittsburg, PA a son of the late John Clement and Helen Hazel Sadler. John was an honorable discharged veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, collecting coins and operating his ham radios.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter Tammy Harper and one brother Frank Sadler.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty-three years Emma Sue Sadler, two daughters Shannon Sadler and Debbie Tomlinson (Kevin), four sons John D. Sadler, Aaron Sadler (Beverly), Glade Willis (Karen) and Eddie Willis (Tonia), one brother Ray Sadler, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN with the Reverend Brian Coffey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Union McMinn Cemetery and will conclude with military honors. Wayne Willis, Christian Willis, Joe Cook, Kevin Tomlinson, Jon Case, Grant Willis and Dalton Case will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM service in the funeral home chapel.
