John R Price

John “JR” Price, 78, of Cleveland, Tennessee traded his Cross for a crown on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. JR was born on July 20, 1944, in Bradley County to the late George W. and Maggie Price. He was a retiree from Maytag after a 43-year career. He was also a devoted member of the South Cleveland Church of God.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his only daughter Kimberly Bivens; and his brothers, Carl Price, George Price Jr., Kenneth Price, Grover Price, Henry Price, and Randell Price all of Cleveland.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 58 years, Phyllis Price; his sons, Johnny Price, Ronnie (Teresa) Price both of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Robert (Della) Price of Ringgold, Georgia; sister, Lucille LeQuire; grandchildren, Carolyn Johnson, Matthew Gilbert, Joshua (Paige) Price of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Kayla (Josh) Jackson of Madisonville, Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Callie Anne Jackson, and Harlie Johnson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 7:00 pm at South Cleveland Church of God with Pastor Edwin Lipsey, Pastor Chris Moody, and Pastor Kenneth Bowers officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Josh Jackson, Jeff Price, Andy Cannon, Randall Higgins, Mike Browder, and Jody Elrod serving as pallbearers.
