John R. "Jack" Sloan

John R. "Jack" Sloan of Sweetwater, TN passed away July 10, 2021 at his daughters home surrounded by family. Born November 17, 1930 in Detroit MI he was the son to the late John E. Sloan and Leah (Latz) Endy. He was the husband of Judith (Burkhardt)Sloan with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. He excelled as a welder fabricator and retired from Strohs brewery after working there 19 years. While living in New Mexico he was a van driver for the elderly of TRC. As a young man he enjoyed participating in sports like football, weightlifting and boxing. He loved watching Nascar, football and boxing and loved his pets. He was predeceased in death by his brother Edward Sloan. Addition to his wife, Judith, Jack is survived by his children Pamela Rathman wife of Robert Rathman West Reading PA, Jon Sloan husband of Diane (Snyder)Sloan Murphy, NC, Nicole Gottschall wife of Robert Gottschall Sweetwater, TN, Lisa Wrobel wife of Thomas Wrobel Muhlenburg PA and grandchildren.
Holly Monahan, Lori Rose-Lewis, Vance and Jared Gottschall, Chelsey Sloan and Alexandria Wrobel. Also surviving is his half-sister Judy (Sloan) Bechtel and half-brother Ronald Sloan.
