John Norris

John Earl Norris, 83, of Athens, TN, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023. John was born on December, 17, 1939 to John L. and Nora Harris Norris in McMinn County, TN. He was self-employed, venturing in dairy farming, trucking and investing. He loved to travel, play golf, ride his motorcycle and enjoy his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his son, Denny Norris. He is survived by his soul mate of 63 years, Elsie Miller Norris, son and daughter-in-law, John Barry and Robin Leslie Norris, grandchildren, Dylan and Lauren Flores, and great grandchildren, Bayli, Aksel, Nolan and Kreed Flores and a host of relatives and special friends, that are too many to list.

A graveside service will be held at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens on Wednesday at 1:00 pm. There will be visitation from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, 400 White St. Athens, TN 37303.
