John Lane Wayne Shelton

John Lane Wayne Shelton, 60, of Cleveland, TN, passed away October 21, 2022, at his residence. He was the son of the late Bill and Katherine Spurling Shelton. John worked at Cooke chair company and Cleveland chair company. He loved to coon hunt, deer hunt, fish, watch races, and football.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Tina Pike Shelton and unborn daughter; second wife, Sharon Harris Shelton; infant brother, Terry Shelton; stepmother, Shirley Shelton; father-in-law, Gordon Pike.

Survived by his children, Mitchell (Angela) Shelton and Jason (Emily) Shelton; stepson, Danny Harris; granddaughters, Makayley, Kaylyn, Evelyn, Sienna, Salem, and Hadley Shelton; sisters, Billie Sue Shelton, Tammy Shelton, Sharon (Mike) Franklin, Teresa (Ronnie) Price, Lesa (Jonathan) Silvers; brothers, David (Debbie) Shelton, Tony (Glenda) Shelton; special niece, Allison Branam Silvers; special nephew, Cody Shelton; several other nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Stella Pike; several sister and brother-in-law’s; brother by heart Manuel Mowery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Companion Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the chapel with Pastor Shane Lawson officiating, Burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens after the service with pallbearers Manuel Mowery, Jonathan Silvers, Cody Shelton, Danny Harris, Tony Shelton, Ronnie Price, and Jason Shelton.
