John F. Hassell Jr.

John F. Hassell Jr., 65, a resident of Madisonville, TN passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Sweetwater hospital. He was born in Highpoint, NC a son of the late John & Armanda Hassell. John moved to Athens, TN in 1998 and later relocated to Madisonville, TN. He was a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church. John was a member of the Kiwanis and was active in the American Cancer Society and many other community organizations in McMinn and Monroe County.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 41 years Peggy Hassell, daughter and son-in-law Meghan Hassell Nico and Logan Nico, step son Greg Walker, three grandchildren John Beckett Nico, Jalen Walker and Jansen Walker, two sister Norma Stephens and Nancy Wilkins, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
