John Edwin "Muscle Head" Johnston

John Edwin “Muscle Head” Johnston, 88, a lifelong resident of Englewood, TN passed away early Wednesday morning, June 29, 2022 at his home. He was born on January 4, 1934 a son of Samuel & Katie Sue Johnston. John enjoyed hunting, traveling, was a gun enthusiast, grilling for family and friends, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered for his skills as a welder.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one younger brother Sammie Johnston.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Mary Willis Johnston, five children Laura Johnson (John), Jennifer Tackett (Eddie), Melissa Stokes (Bryan), John E. Johnston II and Rachel Stewart, seventeen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of extended family and special friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, June 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
