John D. Myers

John D. Myers 79, a resident of Cleveland passed away Friday September 29, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. He was always in a positive mood with a smile on his face and a story to share. He knew how to fix just about anything and worked hard for his family. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and stationed in Paris France. John was in the fiberglass boat repair business for many years and owner of Myers Products.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Lee and Esther Pierce Myers, and sister Ann Glasscock.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years Virginia Miller Myers of Cleveland; children: Melinda Andersen (Jeff) of Cleveland, Jana Machaskee (Mike) of Chattanooga, and David Myers (Tisha) of Cleveland. Grandchildren: Briana Howard (Cole Hyde) of Georgetown, Aaron Andersen of Cleveland, Ethan Myers, Cameron Myers, Garrett Andersen. Great grandchildren: Brian David Hyde. He is also survived by a sister Becky Myers Garrett (Norval) of Murfreesboro, TN.

The family will receive friends from 4:30-7:00 Monday October 2, 2017 at Big Springs Baptist Church. A service will be held at 7:00 pm at Big Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Daniel Malone officiating.

Interment will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Chestuee Methodist Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Norval Garrett, Eddie Glasscock, Jeff Andersen, Aaron Andersen, Cole Hyde, Mike Machaskee.
