John Gregory Crowder, Jr.

John Gregory Crowder, Jr. 41, of East Ridge, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

John was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a 2002 graduate of Cleveland High School. He worked at Cigna Healthcare for 12+ years where he held several roles and met his beloved wife. John served on the board of directors for the Tennessee Cigar and Bourbon Society. John loved a good cigar and bourbon, going to the Cigar Lounge, cheering on the Tennessee Vols, golfing, deep sea fishing, and anything Jimmy Buffett. However, his favorite thing of all were his girls. John loved and adored Kendra, Charlotte, and Maggie with everything he had and the three of them were his entire world.

He was preceded in death by his mother Carla Williams Howe, Sister: Carrie Crowder.

He is survived by his wife, Kendra Mason Crowder; Daughters, Charlotte Elizabeth Crowder and Magnolia Reave Crowder; Father, John Gregory Crowder Sr; Sisters, Jamie (CJ) Sharpe and Martha Crowder; Nephews, Landon and Wyatt Sharpe, Nieces, Amelia and Vivian Campbell; Uncle, Tommy (Catherine) Williams; and several cousins.

There will be a celebration of Life held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the American Legion Post 95, 3329 Ringgold Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37412, from 2:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.

John always stated that he wanted his body donated to science for UT, but always wanted to have Honorary Pallbearers listed. His honorary pallbearers are: Tyler Brooks, Paul Harvey, Matt Chance, and Dee Moffett.
