John Denney, 67, of Cleveland, died on Saturday, July 8, after a long struggle with cancer. He was
preceded in death by his mother, Edith Denney; brothers, Claude Denney, Charles Denney, and Burton Moore; sister Billie Cartwright.
Survived by Yvonne Denney, his devoted and loving wife of 48 years; daughter and son-in-law Sheena and Keith Boran; brothers, Arlen Moore, Don Denney, and a loving and supportive circle of extended family and friends. He served the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a connoisseur of popsicles and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed trying to play golf.
Family and friends are invited to drop in and share their memories of John in the fellowship hall at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 14. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in his honor to the Northminster Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
