Obituary

John Barry Westmoreland, 52, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 25th, 2014 in a Chattanooga hospital. John was born on July 14th, 1961 in Rome, GA. He was of the Christian faith. John was a painter by trade, but also enjoyed using his mechanic skills to fix anything from lawn mowers to cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing and going to yard sales.

He is preceded in death by his father Clifford H. Roberts and one sister Jeana Shirley.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother Martha J. Roberts, three sisters Pam Fain (Gary), Janet Cheek (Eddie) and Jane Kesley, one brother Steve Carter and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A memorial gathering is planned for Saturday, February 1st, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the parlor of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made in John’s memory to the Kidney Foundation.
