Joetta Morgan Roderick, 90, of Rossville, GA passed away on December 15, 2022. She was born on February 28, 1932 to the late James and Lena Morgan. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of First Baptist Church Fort Oglethorpe and she also attended McFarland United Methodist Church. Joetta was funny, loved music-especially Elvis, and was a loving and devoted caregiver to for her mother, son, and her husband.
In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Roderick Sr. and son James C. Roderick Jr.; brothers: Dean Morgan and Carl Morgan; sister Bobbie Ballinger.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her nieces: Carla Stephens (Jim) and Kay King (Tim); grandchildren: Lindsey Guider (Matt) )and Tyler Roderick (Mallory) and four great grandchildren: Jacob and Laura Guider and Maggie and Colton Roderick. She also leaves behind several cousins and those who have been devoted to her care: Mary Evelyn (Steve) Woody, Barbara (Harvel) Neyman, Christie (Gary) Cundiff and DeAnne (Mark) Lozano. Also very special to her were the members of her Sunday School class, the Lydia Class at First Baptist, Fort Oglethorpe.
There will be a graveside service at 2pm on Friday January 6th at Lakewood Memorial Gardens South. Rev. Jason Thomas will officiate and Stewart Mossman will be providing music.
