Joe Walker

Joe F. Walker of Decatur Tn. Passed away September 1st 2023 after an extended illness. He was born in Athens Tn. on January 29th 1953, to the late Hubert and Lillie (Dake)Walker.

Joe was of Baptist faith. He served in the National Guard from 1974 until 1981. He loved talking with friends on his CB radio and listening to Elvis.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his beloved sister Linda Bailey.

Joe is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Roger Hyler of Ringgold, Ga. One brother and sister-in-law Monty and Michele Walker of Maryville, Tn. Two granddaughters, Ava and Mya Hyler of Ringgold Ga. Two nephews, Zach (Mariana) Walker of Houston, Tx. and Josh Walker of Maryville Tn., one great niece Emilia, of Houston Tx., several aunts, uncles and other relatives and a special friend, Fay Goforth of Georgetown Tn.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 16th at 12:00pm at Companion Funeral Home in Athens Tn. The family will receive friends and family from 10am until 12pm prior to the service.
