Joe Kingsley Butt, 64, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Sunday night, October 2nd, 2016 surrounded by his family in a Chattanooga hospital. He was born on August 15th, 1952 in Portland, TN a son of the late Robert & Nell Butt. Joe and his family have made Cleveland their home since 1978. Joe was an eagle Scout and proud member of the Brahman Breeders Association. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ. Joe was a cattle rancher and owner of Valley B Enterprises and Gray Shadow Ranch. He was an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother Frank Butt.
Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Debbie Butt, three children and their spouses Don & Karmon Kingsley, Connie & Phil Hatmaker, and Kristy & Tommy Loftis, seven grandchildren Lauren & Jordan Nunnery, Kayelyn & Jesse Jones, Corey Loftis, Audrey Kingsley, Haley Hatmaker, Ryan Loftis and Megan Loftis, two great grandchildren Laney Jones and Gracelyn Jones and three brothers Stan & Shelia Butt, Foster & Kathy Butt and Jerry Butt. He is also survived by several nephews, numerous other exteneded family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday night, October 6th, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Central Church of Christ located at 200 25th Street NW in Cleveland, TN with Minister Wayne Miller, Minister Ryan Ary, Minister Jeremy Butt and Minister Kyle Butt officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time
The interment and graveside services is planned for Friday, October 7th, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Loftis, Ryan Loftis, Jordan Nunnery, Jesse Jones, Cody McCracken and Logan Helton. The funeral procession will leave the Central Church of Christ parking lot at 12:30 PM.
