Joann Nunley

Obituary
Jo Ann Nunley, 73, a resident of Cleveland went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Friday night, March 1st, 2013. A native of Athens, TN was born there on Mary 20th, 1939. JoAnn and her husband Don moved to Rockford, IL in 1958 and lived there until 1969 when they returned to Cleveland to make it their home and raise their family here. JoAnn worded for many years as a Dietician for numerous local health care facilities. She was a devout Christian and of the Baptist faith. JoAnn was meticulous in housekeeping and the raising of her family. Her children are forever grateful for her love, leadership and guidance.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her mother Emma Lynn Wilson, her husband Don W. Nunley, one son Roger W. Nunley and one sister Jackie Ruth Sampson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter and son-in-law Debbie & Ken Akins, one son and daughter-in-law Phillip & Colleen Nunley, two grandchildren Brandy Payne (Dee Pate) and Scott Carter (Amanda), three great grandchildren Haley Payne, Brandon Trentham and Jaxson Carter and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Ricky Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow with David Carter, Scott Carter, Brandon Trentham, Ken Akins, Larry Walsh and Patrick McCurry serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday night, March 4th, 2013 in the parlor of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown Road from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
