Obituary

Joan Marie Best, 61, a resident of Athens, TN passed away on Wednesday morning December 26, 2012 at her residence. Joan was born on March 15, 1951 in Stevens Point, WI a daughter of the late Keith and Ann McIntyre. Joan had been a resident of Athens for the past ten years having moved there from Florida. She was of the Baptist faith and attended the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. She owned and operated the Real Estate Marketplace and also Annabelle’s Bridal Store. She was also a gifted florist, past member of the Lions Club and a member of the Tennessee Board of Realtors.

Joan leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 10 years George Best, one daughter Dana Dain of Waupaca, WI, two sons William Keith Dain (Jo) of Manawa, WI, and Martin John Dain (Heather) of Athens, TN two sisters Janice Barnhart of Waupaca, WI and Judith Dain (Rodney) of Weyauwega, WI and one brother Jim McIntyre (Andrea) of Palm Coast, FL, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church located at 130 County Road 362, Niota, TN 37826 with the Reverend Stanley Hammonds officiating.
