Jo Anne Blackburn

Jo Anne Blackburn, 88, passed away at her home on Monday July 1, 2019. She was born on May 8, 1931 the daughter of the late Joe and Winifred Fox of Coshocton, Ohio. She was retired from American Uniform as an accounts payable clerk with over 40 years of service. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. Jo Anne was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scout pack 3044 and secretary of Asbury Sunday School Class for many years.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her sister Sharon Emerson of Decatur, GA.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph “Pinky” Blackburn; stepdaughter Malinda Blackburn; three sons: twin boys Joey of Cleveland and John (Robin) Blackburn of Ocoee, TN and Jeff Blackburn of Delano, TN; two grandsons: Joshua and Jarrett Blackburn.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday July 5, 2019 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church located at 3405 Peerless Road, Cleveland, TN 37312. A celebration of life service will be held at the church at 7:00pm following the visitation with Pastor Chris Rouse officiating. Interment will be held on Monday July 8, 2019 at 10:30am at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga located at 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416. The family would like to give special thanks for the hospice nurses and staff as well as the staff and nurses of Life Care of Cleveland.
