Jimmy Wayne Bledsoe

Jimmy Wayne Bledsoe, 80, of Harrison, left this life on February 2, 2017. Jimmy was retired from ADM/Dixie Portland. He was an avid fisherman on the Tellico River and on lakes all around. He was a faithful member of Tyner Church of Christ and enjoyed the Monday morning meetings with the deacons.
He is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Bledsoe; parents, Otto & Juanita Williams Bledsoe; brother, Bill Bledsoe, and brother-in-law, Jerry Teague.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Helen Dinsmore Bledsoe, of Harrison; daughter, Vickie (Eddie) Steele; daughter-in-law, Lori Johnson Bledsoe Nierodzik; granddaughters, Megan (Jonathan) Moss and Chelsea (Allen) Holloway, all of Ashland City, TN, Brooke Bledsoe, and Addie Nierodzik of Ooltewah, TN; great-grandsons, Gabriel Lee Moss and Olen Edward Holloway; sisters, Betty King, of Rossville, GA, and Janie Teague of Athens, TN, and a special sister-in-law, Velma Dinsmore (Dale) Hixson, of Harrison.
A celebration of life service is planned for 2:30pm on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Tyner Church of Christ, located at 6620 Bonny Oaks Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37421, with ministers George Cupp and John Cupp officiating.
The family will start receiving friends at 12:00pm until the 2:30pm service time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brooke Bledsoe Trust Fund, at Citizens B&T, PO Box 249, Trenton, GA, 30752, in Jimmy’s honor.
