Jimmy Russell Mingie

Jimmy Russell Mingie, 51, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday October 29, 2021. He was born on April 9, 1970. Jimmy was the life of the party always with a smile. He loved his family and friends. Though he endured many obstacles throughout his life, he never let them slow him down. He loved wrestling and also attending church. He was a part of the Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Mingie; sister Roxie Conner; stepfather Winston Williams; grandparents James and Ruby Mingie, John Anderson, and Ruth Vines; step brother Carol Williams and special Friend Howard Arp.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Brenda Williams; brother Eugene Mingie (Beverly); nephew Nathaniel Conner; step sisters Carol Collins, Mary Landsdowne, and Connie Melton; stepbrother Mitchell Williams; one great nephew and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jimmy’s family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm on Wednesday November 3, 2021 at Companion Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga-Cleveland Office for the special care given in the last weeks of Jimmy’s life.
