Jimmy McDaniel

Jimmy Charles McDaniel, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Jimmy was born on October 5, 1939, in Harrison, Tennessee to the late Rufus and Helen McDaniel. He was a dedicated member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, John Guffey; and his siblings, Samuel McDaniel, James "Wack" McDaniel, Sylvia McDaniel Scoggins, Evelyn McDaniel Lee, Dorthy McDaniel Pendergrass.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Phyllis McDaniel, his sons, Jeff Guffey, James Bynum, and Patrick Bynum; his daughter, Penny McDaniel Murray; 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Minister Joseph Bynum Officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm prior to the service.
