Jimmy Jonny Isacc Tuck, age 79 a resident of Niota, TN passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019, at his home. He was born in Loudon, TN. June 16, 1940.Jim was a retired UAW member, retiring after 36 years as a vehicle inspection for General Motors, in Ypsilanti, MI. Upon his retirement in 1995, he and his wife Della, moved from Taylor, MI to Niota TN.
Jim had many fond memories of his childhood in Tennessee and would often visit the places where he grew up and share stories and memories of his times there. He had a great love for his grandparents, Isacc (Cracky) McNabb and Lily Best McNabb who lived in Tellico Plains, TN. His grandparents helped raise him until he and his mother moved to Detroit, MI when he was 11 years old.
Jim is proceeded in death by his mother Minnie McNabb Worley of Philadelphia, TN, his father James Preston Tuck of Loudon, TN. One daughter Theresa Hopkins of Detroit Michigan, one sister Brenda Gamsjager of Philadelphia, TN. Two great-grandchildren, Aiden Michael Tuck and Kadence Nicole Tuck of Detroit, MI.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Della Tuck of Niota, TN, Son and daughter-in-law Scott & Lisa Blevins of Monroe, MI, daughter & son-in-law Missy and Doug O’Donnell of Niota, TN, Son Jimmy Tuck Jr of Detroit, MI, Daughter, and Son-in-law Charlene and Mike Sandals of Gross Isle, MI, Son and daughter-in-law Steven and Carla Tuck of Monroe, Michigan. Jim has 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, sister Barbara and late bother in law Bill Smith of Madisonville Tn, sister Peggy Jones of Loudon County sister and brother in law Patsy and David Bryant of Grand Rapids MI and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church TN-68 in Niota, TN 37826 with the Rev. Scotty Bales officiating.
Immediately following his Celebration of Life, his family will bury his ashes next to his beloved grandparents Isacc & Lily McNabb at Ebenezer Ballplay Baptist Church Cemetery located at 3749 Hwy 306 in Tellico Plains, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
