Obituary

Jimmie Max Brown, 77, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday morning, June 11th, 2014. Jimmie was born on September 21st, 1936 in Bradley County as son of the late Paul Anderson Brown and Mayme Louella Ruth Brown. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Jimmie was an agent for Allstate Insurance for more than 30 years. After retiring from Allstate he obtained his realtors license. The last several years of his life were spent in real estate. In his earlier years, he coached youth football here in Bradley County. Jimmie served many years as a volunteer for the Cleveland Lions Club.

In addition to his father and mother, he is preceded in death by one brother Billy Brown.

Jimmie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of fifty five years Lorene Benton Brown, daughter Kim Brown Hawes, one sister Debbie Blankenship and two sisters-in-law Barbara Brock and her husband Calvin and Elsie Kirksey.

A celebration of his life is planned for Friday night, June 13th, 2014 at 7:30PM at the First Baptist Church located at 1275 Stuart Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Tom Wickes officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday night from 5:30 PM until the 7:30 PM service time.

The interment and committal service will take place on Saturday morning, June 14th, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with George Gray, Bill Creech, Benny Kirksey, Tom Hawes, Jason Reuter, Calvin Brock and Scott Creech serving as pallbearers. The Cleveland Lions Club will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The funeral procession will leave Companion Funeral Home at 10:30 AM on Saturday morning.

The family would like to thank the nurses and CNAs of Life Care Center of Cleveland and Hospice of Chattanooga for the wonderful care given to Jimmie. Your kindness was such a blessing to Jimmie and the family.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to the Lions Club, P.O. Box 1521, Cleveland, TN 37364. These donations will be used to purchase vision screening equipment.
