Jimmie Lynn Carruth

Jimmie Lynn Carruth, 75, a lifelong resident of McMinn County passed away on Friday evening, December 20, 2019 at his home. He was born in Athens, TN on November 25, 1944 a son of the late Lendel Walter Carruth and Edna Moss Carruth. Jimmie was retired from Athens products and a member of East Athens Baptist Church. He enjoyed Gospel music and will be remembered for his quick wit, amazing recall, infectious laughter and funny stories.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister Lenda Sue Crowder, one brother Edwin Carruth and one stepson Christopher Carroll.
Jimmie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Maria Hembree Carruth, two daughters Sheila Gilbert (Randy) of Mount Juliet, TN and Lisa Allen (Ed) of Lenior City, TN, one stepson Ritchie Carroll (Gretchen) of Winchester, TN, six grandchildren Jake Stanton, Daniel, John and Stephen Gilbert, Christian Carroll and William Carroll, many friends and his loving pet “Izzy”.
