In Loving Memory of Jewell Massengale

Jewell Massengale, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023, at her home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Born on June 7, 1942, in Birchwood, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Mildred Cranfield and Albert Harwood.

Jewell put her faith in Jesus as her Savior and was a great prayer warrior for her children and grandchildren. A hardworking individual, she dedicated 34 years of her life in the manufacturing industry at Bendix. She retired from her career to focus on the joys of spending time with her family.

Jewell loved sports and enjoyed showing her competitive spirit on the softball field. She had an unwavering love for her grandchildren and found immense joy in cheering them on during their sports activities and musicals. Her support and encouragement fueled their dreams and created lasting memories.

Beyond sports, Jewell loved indulging in her favorite pastime - shopping. The Christmas season held an extra special place in her heart, where she truly reveled in the festive spirit and created magical moments for her loved ones. She also was an avid reader and loved spending time working in her flower beds.

When Jewell sought respite from her busy life, the beach was her sanctuary. From the soothing sounds of crashing waves to the warmth of the sun on her skin, she loved visiting the beach with her kids and grandkids.

Jewell's remarkable strength and independence were an inspiration to all. She faced life's challenges head-on, never backing down and always instilling a sense of determination in those around her.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by daughter Donna Bandy.
