Jerry "Papa Smurf" Croft

Jerry “Papa Smurf” Croft went to be with his Lord on Friday 8/14/2020 of natural causes. Jerry was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He PROUDLY served in the United States Military from 1960-1968. And he was an over-the road Truck Driver from 1962 until his retirement in 2004 with over 5 Million Miles without an incident.
He was preceded in death by his parents Reed Arthur Croft and Marie Allen Croft, two Brothers: Hershel and Charlie Croft, and one Grandson, Garrett Davis Croft.
Mr. Croft is survived by his Wife of 57 years Carolyn Shelton Croft, Tammy McCullough, Kim White, Mickey and Chastity Croft, Nick Croft, and his Sister Girleen Howard. 11 grandchildren: Caytie, Tillman, and Addison McCullough, Whitney Morgan, Jeremy and Will White, Joe and Elijah Croft, and Malik, Shanta, and Chablee Croft, and three great grandchildren (Malanya Montgomery, Beau and Josie Morgan, and numerous nieces and nephews).
The Family would like to recognize Avery and Jody Shelton of the Wetmore/Delano, Tn. Community as two Very Special friends of Mr. Croft, as well as, Cassie Taylor of Hospice of Chattanooga and her team (Athens, Tn. Office).
Mr. Croft will be, sorrowfully, missed by his many family, friends, and fellow Truckers.
There will be a graveside service held in the Delano, Tn. Cemetery on Monday August 17, 2020 at 11:00 am.
