Obituary
Jerry Lynn Ledbetter, 63 a resident of Chickamauga, GA passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Jerry was born in Athens, TN on February 9, 1949 a son of the late Elmer and Edith Ledbetter. Jerry was raised and spent most of his life in the Meigs County area until the last 15 years he moved to Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith. Jerry was a member of the AMVETS Post 90 and worked in the construction industry most of his life.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by three sisters Lena May Brown, Carol Wright and Thelma Humphrey, and also two brothers Walt Ledbetter and John E. Ledbetter.
Jerry is survived by two daughters Monica Cathey (Josh), and Melissa Bowman, two sons Jason Ledbetter and Lee Ledbetter, three sisters Mildred Charles, Dot Harvey, and Chris Spurling. He is also survived by four grandsons Christopher, Jake, Jeremy and Jacob, and Jerry was looking forward to the birth of his granddaughter Raylan in a few months. He is also leaves behind numerous other extended family members and friends.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
