Jeris Bragan

January 11, 1946 — January 28, 2024

Jeris E. Bragan Born January 11, 1946, in Dexter, Maine to Erwin Bragan and Jean Rosalie Whary, Jeris Bragan passed away at the age of 78 on January 28, 2024, in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Jeris is survived by his high-school sweetheart and spouse of thirty-four years, Edie Bragan, by his daughter, Tracie Sutton, his grandchildren, Garrett and Reagan, as well as children and grandchildren through marriage, and innumerable family of the heart. Jeris had two siblings: Glenice Rossignol and Beverly Baez.

During his life, Jeris Bragan worked in the lumber industry, the news industry, as a private investigator, public speaker, published author, and in administering emotional healing and support for challenged young people. One thing that made Jeris so unforgettable in the lives of those he encountered was the dignity, grace, and humanity with which he applied his keen insight to supporting and helping others be their best selves.

He believed in a God who loves him unconditionally. His faith and trust in God's goodness proved to be a solid foundation that sustained him through both dark and happy times. He brought resilience and humor to the challenges he faced, channeling the lessons of his own life into many published articles and several books that inspired others.

He will be long missed, remembered, and loved.
