Obituary
Jennie Ruth “Ruthy” Marmon, 54, a resident of Cleveland passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 9, 2011in a Chattanooga hospital after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Ruthy was born in Nashville TN and was a daughter of the late Bobby James Hesson.
Ruthy was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed dancing, swimming, and working in the yard. She was a loving mother and grandmother who raised three wonderful daughters and instilled in them the importance of being upstanding women and caring mothers themselves.
Ruthy is survived by her three daughters, Gina (Chris) Goodwin and Tanya Fox both of Cleveland and Jerry L. Lowe of Sweetwater, her mother Virginia Tuttle Hesson , a sister Jo Alred of Old Hickory, TN and her grandchildren Jerad Fox, Tiffany Goodwin, Tyler Goodwin, Tessa Park, T.J. Goodwin, and Joseph Lowe whom she raised as her own son.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday November 14, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Big Spring Baptist Church, 1415 Hardwick St. SE, Cleveland with the Rev. George Bulson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Joseph Lowe, Tyler Goodwin, Jim Giles, Kenny Park, Marquise Foy, and Cyle Herron serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 – 3 pm prior to the funeral service.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made Tanya Fox, 243 Chetola Dr. Cleveland, TN 37323 in order to help with Ruthy’s medical expenses.
