Jeffrey Monroe Ellis

Jeffrey Monroe Ellis, 52, of Cleveland, TN passed away on August 6, 2020. He was born on August 10, 1967 to Donald and Juanita Ellis. Jeff was a Veteran of the US Army. He has lived in the Cleveland area for the past 26 years. He was a Instructional Assistant for the Special Education Department at Cleveland High School, where he also served as the videographer for the Softball team. Jeff was also involved in Theatre and was a part of the Ocoee Theatre. He was a fan of baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds. Above all things, Jeff loved his family and spending time with them.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Henry Ellis and Vance and Mayme Gaines.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 20 years, Amanda Wolfe Ellis; children: Parker Ellis, Bryson Ellis, Jamison Ellis, and Brooke Ellis; parents Donald and Juanita Ellis; in laws Sharon Chaney, Bud Wolfe (Linda); siblings Bruce Ellis (Robin) and Hope Zeis (Sean); grandmother Mildred Ellis.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00pm at the funeral home following visitation. The service will be live streamed on the facebook page of Companion Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 circumstances, the family requests that only family and close friends come to the service and practice distancing while at the funeral home.
Jeff will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
