Jeffrey Kuntz

September 10, 1953 — January 16, 2025

Jeffrey Kuntz, age 71, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, in Birchwood, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Born and raised in a home filled with laughter and devotion, Jeffrey was known for his warm heart, his passions, and his dedication to those he loved.

A man of simple pleasures, Jeffrey found joy in many aspects of life. He had an enduring love for motorcycles and the open road, often riding with a sense of freedom and adventure. Also loving the beach, he would take long walks, and touching seashells to connect to the ocean on a special level of understanding. He was a devoted fan of the Tennessee Volunteers football team, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on, and he had a deep appreciation for nature, especially when it came to fishing and tending to his garden. Jeffrey was also an avid traveler, always seeking out new experiences and creating memories with his loved ones. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee, indulging his sweet tooth, or spending time with his beloved cat, Molly, Jeffrey's life was filled with moments of comfort and joy.

However, above all else, Jeffrey loved his family, and his love for his wife, Rita, stood as a testament to the devotion he had for her. Married for 27 wonderful years, they were truly soulmates, partners in life and in love. Their bond was one that filled their home with laughter, understanding, and a love that never faltered.

Jeffrey was also a proud father to son Josh King and daughter Stephanie Kuntz DiDonato, who, along with his grandchildren Madeline DiDonato (Caleb) and Gage King, brought immeasurable joy to his life. His great-grandchildren, Jude Bryan, were a light in his later years, and he relished every moment spent with them. Jeffrey's siblings, Karen Swanson (F.M.) and Lisa Stafford (John), were a constant source of support, and he loved them dearly. In addition, he was blessed with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who all held him in great affection.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, William Kuntz, his mother, Norma Kuntz, and his brother, John Kuntz. His family, friends, and all who knew him will forever remember his infectious smile, his caring nature, and his steadfast faith. Jeffrey was a man of the Baptist faith, and his strong belief was a foundation that guided him through life.

A service to honor and celebrate Jeffrey's life will be held on Monday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel". Visitation will be held beginning at 12:00 PM, also at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel". He will be laid to rest at McDonald Eastview Cemetery in Ooltewah, Tennessee, where his family and friends will gather to pay their respects.

Jeffrey Kuntz will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his love, laughter, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
