Jean Madelyn Osborne, 98, of Cleveland, TN passed away on October 26, 2021. She was born in Pike County, KY on February 7, 1923 to the late Whitley and Nora Smith. Madelyn moved to Cleveland in the Summer of 2012. She was a friend of everyone and would do anything to help others. She enjoyed canning, gardening, and quilting. She made a quilt for everyone in her family. Madelyn was the owner and operator of Osborne Furniture and Appliance for many years. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Adam Osborne; sister Anna Smith Moore; brothers Robert D. Smith, Kenneth Smith, and Theodore Smith; son-in-law Charles Lusk; daughters-in-law Donna Rose Osborne and Donna Marie Osborne.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Shirley Lusk; sons: Roger Osborne, Fred Osborne, and Adam Dale Osborne (Teresa); grandchildren: Samantha Harris, Chris and Susan Osborne, Courtney Osborne, Tracy Clay, Stephanie Osborne, Bernadette and Graham Tucker, Cathy Flesh; great grandchildren: Whitley Harris, Annie Osborne, Caroline Osborne, Ellie Clay, Turner Osborne, Anna Sophie Flesh and Thorston Flesh.
Madelyn’s family will receive friends from 12pm until 2pm on Saturday October 30, 2021 at Lucas and Sons Funeral Home located at 2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501 with a graveside service to follow at Johnson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude in Madelyn’s name.
