Obituary


Jacqueline “Jackie” Blankenship, 79, a resident of Cleveland passed away on Thursday October 13, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.
Jackie was born in Stone, KY to the late Daniel Thacker Sr. and Mary Grace Carter Thacker. She is also preceded in death by one brother Okie Thacker and two sisters Ora Montgomery and Madge Hutchinson.
Jackie was of the protestant faith and baptized in the Methodist Church in Bartley, WV. Jackie and her husband moved here nineteen years ago from Kerrville, TX, but spent the majority of their adult life in Hampton, VA. She was an avid reader that enjoyed working in her flower garden, and caring for her cats especially her last kitty “Jeb Stewart” who also preceded her in death.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband Harold Blankenship, two sons Harold Blankenship Jr. of Pueblo, CO, and Louis Calvin Blankenship of Cleveland, TN, one daughter Cheri Lynn Galloway of Maryville, TN, one brother Daniel A. Thacker Jr. (Pansy) of Galion, OH, one sister Rose Marie Clemons (John) of Clay City, KY, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a special niece Jackie Carol Trautwein, and host of other extended members.
The family we hold a privatememorail service at a later date in Galion, OH.
