Janet Holmes

Janet Marie Holmes, 55, of Delano, TN won her battle with cancer and gained her angel wings on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones.

Janet was born in Rossville, GA and spent most of her life in Ringgold, GA and Delano, TN. She was a valued employee of McMinn County Schools, where she took pride in providing clean schools for the children. Janet enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and her dear friend Jim Keller. She was a lover of all things involving nature, gardening, crafting, and she loved playing with her miniature schnauzer fur babies.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother; Judy Anderson; and niece and nephew Abigail Biggs and Isaac Silmon.

Survivors include children, Jarrod (Kristen) Holmes, Jaimelee (Bobby) Wilcoxon, Jillian (Cody) McCormick, Jackson (Ze'Auna) Holmes, and 12 beloved grandchildren. Survivors also include 5 siblings, James Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Jenifer Anderson, Julia Anderson, and Joyce Anderson. Family is asking that in lieu of cut flowers, seed packets be shared and/or planted to keep her memory alive forever.
