Jane Martin Bennett, 89, passed away on April 20, 2020. She was born on June 22, 1930 to the late William Dillard and Midred Dorough Martin. Jane had recently moved to the area from GA. She was a longtime member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA. She loved her church family. She was a college professor at the former Dekalb Community College, now known as Georgia State. She was the founder and owner of Camp Woodmont on Lookout Mountain where she served thousands of young people from the Southeast. Jane also enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband James Bennett and siblings: William D. Martin and James D. Martin. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Alyson Gondek (Mike) and Tyran Bennett (Suzy); grandchildren: Chelsea Gondek, Savannah Gondek, Autumn Bennett, and Chase Bennett. She also leaves behind great granddaughter Evie Bennett.
