James W. "Bo" Bohannon

James W. “Bo” Bohannon, a life-long resident of McMinn County, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at age 79. Bo was born to the late Roy and Julia Bohannon on March 18, 1938. He was retired from Bowater after 38 years. Bo was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors in general. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bo is proceeded in death by his parents listed above, and also one brother, Carl Bohannon.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Diane Bohannon; one sister, Margret Jean Mason; one son and daughter-in-law, David (Tammy) Bohannon; two daughters and son-in-laws, Debbie (Danny) Gable, and Barbara (Wesley) Rowland; five grandchildren, Whitney Boles, John Paul Culpepper, Justin Ballentine, Brandy Wilson, and Wes Rowland; one great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Boles. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.
A Celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service of Athens located at 400 S White Street. Athens, TN 37303. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday prior to the service.
