Obituary
James Thomas White, 73, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Wednesday night, May 20th, 2015 in a local hospital. James was born in McComas, West Virginia on February 14th, 1942 a son of the late Luther & Zola White. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during the Vietnam War. James had relocated his family to Cleveland from Illinois approximately 37 years ago. He was of the Church of God faith and a member of Grace Community Church. James was retired from M & M Mars company and loved to spend time with family and friends, hunt, and fish. He was a very generous and giving man willing to help any friend in need. James was a very devoted family man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to show how much he loved his family and he made sure their every need was met.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by two brothers Leonard White and Willard White.

James leaves behind cherishing memories to his loving and devoted wife of forty-nine years Myrna G. White, two sons Eric White and his companion Christie Hunt, Keith White and his wife Sarah, four grandchildren Trystan James Marl-White, Airicha Baylee White, Meredith Ashley-Paige White and James Allen White, seven sisters Betty Elizabeth Humphrey, Gloria Dean Slone, Evelyn Tucker, Patty Goins (Bobby), Elaine Watson (Bobby), Lena Mae White (David) and Beverly Kuhfuss (Al), seven brothers Luther White Jr., Raymond White (Belinda), Alvin White (Debbie), Kenny White (Veda), Stacey White (Janice), Fredrick White and Charles Joseph White (Penny), numerous others extended family members, and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday night, May 22nd, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Grace Community Church located at 4745 Mouse Creek Road in Cleveland, TN.

A service celebrating James's life will be held on Saturday morning, May 23rd, 2015 at 8:45 AM at the church. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jeff Dotson, Joseph White, Jimmy Slone, Steve Martin, Rusty Norris, Wesley White, Cody Moore and Orlando Crawford serving as pallbearers. In honor of James's service to our country, the service will conclude with full military honors.
