James Thomas Wagner, 85, of Cleveland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and Tennessee Volunteer football and basketball. He also enjoyed gardening with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Clarence and Avis Margaret Kile Wagner; brother, Ray Wagner; sisters, Betty Moore and Deane Morrow.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Sarah Howell Wagner; brother, Darrell (Bernice) Wagner; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Martha Hancock; 13 year-old fur baby, Maggie; and very special family members; Paul, Lea Ann and Kile Clark.
There will be a graveside service in the Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 3:00PM with Reverend Curtis McKee officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Cleveland in James’s honor.
