James Isaac Sutton, Jr.

James Isaac Sutton, Jr., passed away on April 15, 2024, in a local hospital.

He was born July 20, 1948 to May Alma Harris and James Isaac Sutton, Sr. in Shreveport, LA. He was also known by the nicknames "Ike", "Bull", and "Junior". He was raised in Whitwell, TN where he spent the majority of his childhood. He married Carol Sue Kelly in 1970 and they had 2 children over the course of their marriage. He was a veteran of the United States Army and received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Mae Alma Harris Pickett; step-father, James R.B. Pickett; and brother, George Pickett.

Survivors include children, Anna Sutton and Kesha Sutton of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Kristopher Clay and Oliviana Eldridge Sutton; sisters, Emma Gott and Anna Roberts of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Samuel Pickett of Whitwell, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Companion Funeral Home, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
