James Stuart Neloms

James Stuart Neloms, 73, of Cleveland, TN passed away on November 9, 2015. He was born on November 23, 1941 to the late Ed and Ossie Neloms. He was a lifelong resident of this area and of the Baptist faith. Jim enjoyed woodworking, cheering on the Tennessee Vols and sitting on his porch, rocking on his swing. Above all things, however, Jim loved his family and spending time with them.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Linda Jenkins and Doris Jean Gibson; two brothers: Bobby Neloms and Bill Neloms.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Martha Neloms; daughters: Stephanie Brooks (David) and Melissa Brown (Sammy); son Eric Neloms (Jill); sister Alice Owen of Virginia; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to these, he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday November 12, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Rev. Lee Ingram officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:30pm until the 7:00pm service time. Interment will be held at 10:30am on Friday morning November 13, 2015 at Ramsey Cemetery off Michigan Ave. Road. A funeral procession will leave from the funeral home Friday morning at 10:00am. Rick Spraker, Jim Brooks, Gayle Durham, Michael Derrick, Randy Fox, Danny Brooks will serve as pallbearers. Matthew Brooks will serve as honorary pallbearer.
